Music School Stars

This summer both Finn and Seth have been attending "Music Explosion", a fun program sponsored by a local church. Each Wednesday in June and July, they went to class and learned different things related to music. They sang songs, made instruments, and were introduced to basic musical information. I know they had a blast. Another plus, it allowed Mommy and Daddy to have a little date time (baby in tow) for an hour and a half which was usually spent at McNellie's $3 burger night. :)
Last Wednesday was the final week of "music school". The children had been preparing for a performance. I honestly was probably more excited than the boys! It was the first time either of them had been on a stage. I was also crossing my fingers all would go well! And it did! The boys were in the youngest of all the classes. They sang one song. And it was perfect. Definitely brought tears to my eyes. (But that's just because I'm a mushy mom.)
Aren't they adorable?!?
Finn's teacher purposely put him in front of the micrphone. Evidently he was the only child who would and could sing loud and proud! :) Seth did a great job waving his flag and sucking his thumb. So proud of my little musicians! I cannot wait to see more of their performances!

You can hear Finn singing loud and proud! Seth is in the top right corner swaying away. :)

It must be a June thing...

Evidently my blogging opportunities only come in June. That doesn't mean I don't have inspiration other times; I just cannot find time to sit down and write. I don't want to make any empty promises to be a better blogger, because clearly I will not be able to follow through. :)
We've had a wonderful year. In my last post I wrote about the impending birth of our third son. Levi entered the world on August 1, and it's been a whirlwind ever since. Finn started (and finished) his first year of school. He continues to amaze me each day. Seth is growing and changing more each day. There are time when I think he is lucky he is so cute. (It saves him from trouble.) I am one lucky mom! We are still out here near the lake and loving it! Daryl would love to have a boat to help with his fishing adventures. Maybe one day...
Here is our first picture of our family of five taken by my dear friend, Missy. (See the dark circles under my eyes? Well, they've been there for the last year.)
